I would like to welcome you to the website of the Patients Participation Group (PPG).
It is the wish of the NHS that all GP practices should have a PPG. The purpose of a PPG is to act as a liaison between the patient and the Practice. It is designed as a forum to discuss the wider issues of running the practice and for introducing new ideas and initiatives. Whilst it is not designed to deal with individual problems between the doctor and the patient it is there to help resolve issues that are not settled to the satisfaction of the patient.
Following an open forum which was held on 28 September 2010, to which all patients were invited, a PPG was established at the Wellington Health Centre and we have already held a number of meetings. I would like to invite you to future meetings of the PPG or to send me comments on matters that you might like to raise so that the Committee can deal with them.
Information about past and future meetings can me found on the Contact Tab of this website and your comments can be sent via the Contact Tab.
The Committee has been established for your benefit, so please feel free to use it at any time.
